She also received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Art Therapy for adults and children.
Currently, Dr. Alrustamani works as a practising counsellor based in the UAE, specialising in a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, chronic illness, Adjustment Disorder, ADHD, depression, grief and bereavement, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and internet addiction. She tailors her treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring personalised care and support.
Dr. Alrustamani has gained valuable experience in diverse settings in Geneva, Switzerland. She served as a Social Counsellor at the Tabyeen Center for Psychological & Family Counselling for 12 years, providing guidance and support to individuals and families facing emotional and psychological challenges. In her role as the Assistant Provost of Student Affairs Deanship at Zayed University, she played a crucial role in creating a positive and supportive environment for students. Additionally, she served as the Director of the Student Counselling Center at Zayed University, actively contributing to the development and implementation of a comprehensive counselling program. In these roles, she has helped numerous students navigate the challenges of academic and personal life, equipping them with the tools to succeed and thrive.
