Trained in DBT by Behavior Tech, founded by Dr. Marsha Linehan, she holds intensive level 4 training in DBT, including DBT for children, parents, trauma treatment, and eating disorders. Additionally, she has received training in eating disorders from Oxford University and anxiety disorders from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Sankar also specializes in couple therapy through her training in HEART Couple and Relationship Therapy from Canada.

At Dubai Community Helth centre , Dr. Sankar provides specialized services including DBT for adolescents, teenagers, and adults, DBT group skill training programs, and parent training programs using DBT-C. She addresses extreme emotions, suicidal behaviors, non-suicidal self-injury, and problem behaviors in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
