About
Dr Borg has clinical interests in small incision cataract surgery (including complex surgery,) medical retina conditions, intravitreal injection treatments for macular generation, vascular occlusions, diabetic maculopathy, squints, ectropion botox, and laser treatments including YAG Laser Capsulotomy and selective laser trabeculoplasty for glaucoma and retinal laser.
Dr Borg received his medical degree from the University of Malta Medical School before completing general ophthalmology training in the UK. He then undertook subspecialty training including a paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus fellowship at Addenbrooke's Hospital and a medical retina fellowship at King's College Hospital.
Dr Borg has a passion for education and training, and serve as a clinical supervisor for ophthalmology trainees as well as an assessor for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He is a member of a number of professional organisations including the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
