Dr. Athinodoros Karathanasis hat an der Aristoteles Universität in Thessaloniki, Griechenland Zahnmedizin studiert. Im deutschen Würzburg an der Julius Maximilians Universität absolvierte er seine Weiterbildung zum Kieferorthopäden und promovierte 1993. Seine Dissertation schrieb er über das Thema „Reproduzierbarkeit und Aussagekraft elektronischer Registrierbefunde von Kiefergelenksbewegungen und –positionen". Danach arbeitete er als Kieferorthopäde im deutschen Nürnberg und 1994 gründete er eine eigene kieferorthopädische Praxis in Veria, Griechenland. 2008 erhielt er die Zertifizierung von Invisalign®. Durch die Teilnahme an verschiedenen Fortbildungen hat Dr. Karathanasis umfangreiches Wissen in vielen Spezialbereichen erworben. Jetzt ist Dr. Karathanasis am Dr. Maija Eltz Institut in Wien tätig.
