About
Trained extensively in the West Midlands, Dr. King completed his medical degree at Imperial College School of Medicine, London, in 2001. He undertook advanced specialist training at the Queen Elizabeth Liver Unit and was awarded a Medical Research Council fellowship to pursue a PhD at the University of Birmingham. His groundbreaking research included leading the first randomised clinical trial investigating stem cell therapy in patients with cirrhosis.
Passionate about education, he serves as the Gastroenterology training programme director in the West Midlands and is a GMC-accredited supervisor and experienced endoscopy trainer. Dr. King continues to contribute to research and clinical trials, ensuring patients have access to the latest advancements in liver disease treatment. He also practices at the Priory Hospital and Harborne Hospital, offering comprehensive liver and gastrointestinal care.
