Dr. Andria Merrison is a Consultant Neurologist who has been an NHS Consultant since 2009. The South West Neuromuscular Network, under her leadership, has been awarded both UK network and Centre of Excellence awards, currently supporting more than 6,000 patients in the region. In addition to her clinical and academic responsibilities, Dr. Merrison contributes to regional and national NHS service development. She has an advisory role for NHS England Specialised Commissioning and the Royal College of Physicians and serves on the South West Clinical Senate.
Dr. Merrison completed her pre-clinical training at Cambridge University, graduating with a Master of Arts (with Honours) in 1993. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Bristol in 1996.
