Dabei werden die Eingriffe über kleinste Hautschnitte durchgeführt. Der große Vorteil dieser Technik liegt in einer geringeren Schmerzbelastung, einer verkürzten Genesungszeit und einem ästhetisch ansprechenderen Ergebnis. Zusätzlich führt er als ausgebildeter und zertifizierter Chirurg für robotische Viszeralchirurgie auch operative Eingriffe mit dem DaVinci Xi System durch. Somit profitieren Sie von seiner jahrelangen Erfahrung in Kombination mit der Präzision des OP-Roboters.

Er ist stationsführender Oberarzt an der Abteilung für Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie der Klinik Floridsdorf in Wien und leitet dort die Spezialambulanz für Refluxerkrankungen. Zusätzlich führt er zwei Ordinationen in Wien.

Ein großer fachlicher Schwerpunkt von Doz. Dr. Prusa liegt in der Diagnostik und Behandlung von Refluxerkrankungen (GERD). Die Abklärung einer gastroösophagealen Refluxerkrankung umfasst unter anderem eine Gastroskopie, ein Schluckröntgen sowie die Funktionsdiagnostik mit Druck- und Säuremessung. Die Behandlung erfolgt entweder konservativ medikamentös oder - wenn notwendig - operativ, wobei Refluxoperationen wie die Fundoplicatio oder die Implantation eines Magnetringes (LINX) zur Anwendung kommen.

Ein weiterer Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt ist die Endoskopie. Doz. Dr. Prusa verfügt über eine sehr große Erfahrung in der Durchführung von Magen- und Darmspiegelungen, Vorsorgekoloskopien sowie Rektoskopien. Darüber hinaus führt er operative Eingriffe am gesamten Gastrointestinaltrakt durch, unter anderem bei gutartigen und bösartigen Tumorerkrankungen. Zudem beinhaltet sein Portfolio die Durchführung minimal invasiver chirurgischer Eingriffe, darunter Operationen bei Zwerchfell-, Leisten-, Nabel- und Narbenbrüchen, Gallensteinerkrankungen, Hämorrhoiden sowie Divertikelerkrankungen.

Doz. Dr. Prusa absolvierte seine Facharztausbildung für Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie an der Universitätsklinik für Chirurgie des AKH Wien. Während dieser Ausbildung sammelte er umfassende klinische Erfahrung in verschiedenen chirurgischen Disziplinen, darunter Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie, Gefäßchirurgie, Kinderchirurgie und Transplantationschirurgie. Neben seiner klinischen Tätigkeit ist er in der ärztlichen Lehre und Weiterbildung engagiert, unter anderem als Leiter von Operationskursen im Bereich Refluxchirurgie und als Gastprofessor an der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Er absolviert derzeit ein Master-of-Business-Administration-Studium.
