Dr. Pillai's NHS experience includes outpatient allergy clinics and specialist joint clinics with ENT, as well as drug and food allergy challenge sessions. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the General Medical Council, the Royal College of Physicians, the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and the British Medical Association.
Dr. Pillai underwent his specialist training at Guy’s Hospital and obtained CCT accreditation in allergy. During this period, he completed a research fellowship programme that led to a clinical trial investigating the effects of anti-IgE therapy (Omalizumab) in non-atopic asthma, which earned him a PhD by King’s College London. Dr. Pillai's commitment to allergy research and his experience in treating patients with various allergies has earned him a reputation as a top consultant in the field.
