He is an expert in interpreting skin prick tests, contact dermatitis patch tests, component allergen tests, food challenges and allergen desensitisation(immunotherapy). He has participated in many clinical trials, published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health and an accredited senior examiner for the Diploma in Child Health Examination. He was previously the editor of The Online Journal of Clinical Audits. Dr Bakshi is frequently invited to deliver talks and chair meetings, both within the UK and in international conferences. He has been interviewed on TV news, print/ digital media and quoted in various news articles for an expert opinion on allergy related topics.

Dr Bakshi has expertise in assessing histamine intolerance, food allergy, hives(urticaria), eczema and cows' milk allergy. The clinic accepts referrals for unexplained hives, lip/eye/face swelling and persistent itching. The British Allergy Clinic offers oral immunotherapy (desensitsation) to airborne allergens (dust mite, pollen, moulds and pets).
