A/Prof. Fisher's expertise covers all forms of hernias, bariatric surgery, benign gastro-oesophageal conditions including reflux, as well as benign liver and pancreatic diseases with a strong focus on gastrointestinal cancers of the oesophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas and bile ducts. He delivers evidence-based, patient-centred care, focusing on minimally invasive and robotic techniques for efficient recovery.

Trained in both Switzerland and Australia, A/Prof. Fisher completed subspecialty training from 2016 to 2021. He gained experience in cytoreductive surgery and intraperitoneal chemotherapy, having trained at Australia’s largest peritoneal surface oncology unit from 2016 - 2018. His two-year Clinical Fellowship at one of Australia’s few Bariatric Centre of Excellence at St George Hospital provided advanced expertise in obesity surgery. He further honed his skills in complex HPB surgery at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, managing advanced malignancies requiring vascular resections/reconstructions. He is the co-owner of Scarless - The Clinic, Sydney's first dedicated Scar Clinic where holistic Scar care ps provided together with an internationally renowned Scar Expert - Dr Andrea Issler-Fisher. 

He prioritises compassionate, individualised care, building trust through active listening and clear communication.
