Dr. Naureen Izhar is a Specialist Nephrologist with over a decade of clinical experience, currently serving at Medcare Royal Specialty Hospital and Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. Her medical education began at Dow Medical College in Karachi, followed by advanced training in nephrology through the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, where she earned her FCPS. She is also a Fellow of the World Kidney Academy for Clinical Renal Transplantation.
Dr. Izhar has built a career in nephrology, working in both Pakistan and the UAE. Her early clinical roles included positions at leading institutions in Karachi before transitioning to the UAE healthcare system. There, she gained extensive experience in both public and private sectors, including roles at Al Qassimi Hospital, Zulekha Hospital, and Al Zahra Hospital.
Her clinical expertise spans the management of complex kidney conditions, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, nephrotic and nephritic syndromes, renal transplantation, and dialysis. She is skilled in a range of nephrology procedures, including peritoneal dialysis, dialysis catheter insertion, and renal biopsy.
