Mr Oliver Templeton-Ward is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, specialising exclusively in knee surgery. His practice covers complex reconstructive surgery for sports injuries as well as the latest joint preservation techniques and replacements for both early and established knee arthritis. He specialises in robotic partial and total knee replacement surgery.
Mr Templeton-Ward has been fellowship trained in both partial and total, knee replacement surgery. He has a sub-specialist interest clinic in patellofemoral instability and anterior knee pain.
Mr Templeton-Ward attended Nottingham University Medical School and his surgical and orthopaedic training was carried out in London and the south east of England. Following this he carried out 15 months of sub-specialist knee fellowship training, initially under Mr. Neil Bradley, at Royal Surrey County Hospital, where he was trained in partial, total and revision knee replacement surgery. He went on to study further in Sydney, Australia, on the internationally recognised and highly sought-after fellowship with Dr. David Wood, President of the Australian Knee Society. This fellowship covered complex multi-ligament reconstruction surgery and patellofemoral instability.
Mr Templeton-Ward is currently researching enhanced recovery and rapid rehabilitation following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using and Robotic knee replacement surgery.
