Mr Karuppaiah is a clinician and an academic. As a clinician, he works with Kings College Hospital, London, as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon. Mr Karuppaiah has over 25 articles in peer-reviewed indexed journals. His research interest is in upper-limb research and his research efforts have been recognised nationally and internationally. His research work is cited by many authors, journals and orthopaedic textbooks. He belongs to the editorial board and reviews a variety of international scientific orthopaedic journals. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
