About Mr Justin Alberts
Mr Justin Alberts is a Consultant in General Surgery and Colproctology working at BMI St Edmunds Hospital in Suffolk. He qualified and trained at The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1990, and was awarded a Fellowship by The Royal College of Surgeons in 1995. His higher surgical training was undertaken in Wessex, but also at St Mark's Hospital in London and in Oxford. Mr Alberts also had the opportunity to be trained in rectal cancer surgery under the supervision of the renowned Consultant Professor Bill Heald. Mr Alberts' speciality includes all aspects of colproctology. This includes colon and rectal cancer, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, haemorrhoids and diverticular disease. He is also highly experienced in modern techniques such as the HALO procedure and staples haemorrhoidectomy to treat haemorrhoids. He also has clinical interests in fissures, fistulas and rectal prolapse.
