Professor Domenico Valenti is a highly respected Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, with extensive expertise in the management of complex vascular conditions and advanced vascular surgical procedures. Appointed to his consultant role in 2007, he has established an outstanding reputation for excellence in vascular surgery, education, and clinical research both in the UK and internationally.
Professor Valenti studied Medicine in Italy, qualifying in 1991, and completed his surgical and vascular training across Italy, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, including specialist training at St Mary's Hospital and Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Prior to relocating permanently to the UK, he served as a Junior Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Mauriziano Hospital in Turin, Italy.
He has extensive experience across all aspects of vascular surgery, with specialist expertise in carotid artery surgery, open and endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, lower limb reconstructive surgery, varicose vein treatments including radiofrequency ablation (VNUS), and vascular access surgery for haemodialysis patients. 
Alongside his clinical work, Professor Valenti is deeply committed to surgical education and academic medicine. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and regularly teaches undergraduate and postgraduate trainees affiliated with King's College London, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, and other leading medical institutions.
Professor Valenti is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh, as well as a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgery. He also serves as a member of the Council Section of Surgery at the Royal Society of Medicine. In recognition of his leadership within the specialty, he was nominated President of the Vascular Access Society of Britain and Ireland in 2010 and remains actively involved in numerous UK and European vascular surgical societies.
A prolific academic contributor, Professor Valenti is the author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications presented and published nationally and internationally. His practice is centred on delivering evidence-based, patient-focused vascular care with an emphasis on safety, precision, and optimal long-term outcomes.
