Dr Mashhour completed his medical degree in 1996 and went on to earn an MSc and an MD degree in orthopaedic surgery. he trained in orthopaedic oncology at one of the largest orthopaedic oncology units in the Middle East, before being appointed as faculty staff. during this time, he was involved in the training of the studio and also developed the orthopaedic shame of Wars multidisciplinary team at Mediclinic Middle East - City Hospital.
He has over 25 years of experience as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and has expertise in the following areas:
Management of trauma and fractures for adults and children
Management Bone tumour
Joint problems and joint injections
Surgical arthroscopy
Osteoporosis management
Joint replacement
Hand, Foot, and ankle problems
For the past 20 years, Dr Mashhour has specialised in bone and soft tissue tumour surgery and has previously been the leading surgeon for many limb salvage surgeries for malignant bone tumours. He has managed many complex cases in both adults and children, including osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, and Ewing's sarcoma. He has also undertaken numerous reconstructive procedures using a variety of techniques including biological, endoprosthetic reconstructions, and cryosurgery for bone tumours. He has also performed general orthopaedic trauma and disease surgeries.
In addition to his clinical work, he is also a peer-reviewer for a number of international journals including the American Journal of Case Report. Furthermore, he has numerous publications in his field of work.
