She completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Royal North Shore Hospital, gaining her Fellowship in 2002, and undertook an Advanced Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at North Shore Private Hospital. She also holds a Masters of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) from the University of Sydney, which enables her to critically appraise research and provide care that is evidence-based and tailored to each patient.
She has been a Visiting Medical Officer at North Shore Private Hospital and The Mater Hospital since 2003, and at Royal North Shore Hospital since 2005.
