About Dr Kieran Mccaffrey
Dr Kieran McCaffrey is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who trained through Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He manages both normal and high-risk pregnancies and has a subspecialty interest in advanced minimally invasive and laparoscopic gynaecological surgery. Dr McCaffrey completed his medical degree at the University of Notre Dame and went on to obtain a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Alongside his clinical practice, he contributes to medical education as an Adjunct Lecturer, teaching medical students and junior doctors. He holds Visiting Medical Officer appointments at Royal North Shore Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, the Mater Hospital, Ryde Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital. His surgical practice includes advanced laparoscopic procedures, and he plans to incorporate robotic-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci Xi system. Beyond his hospital work, Dr McCaffrey serves as a Medical Officer with the Australian Defence Force Army Reserves, volunteers with Street Side Medics providing care for the homeless, and contributes to surf lifesaving at Bronte SLSC. Coming from a family with a longstanding tradition in obstetrics, he continues a professional legacy established by his father and grandfather.
