Dr Ganga Ganesvaran works as part of Neurology Network Melbourne where he specialises in neurology and geriatric medicine. He has particular expertise in movement disorders and treats patients suffering from a range of conditions including Parkinson's disease, dystonia, progressive supranuclear palsy, neurodegenerative disorders, and multiple system atrophy. He is particularly skilled in managing advanced Parkinson's disease and in overseeing the multidisciplinary rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson's. Dr Ganesvaran is experienced in all aspects of general neurology and also sees patients presenting with symptoms such as migraine, cognitive issues, epilepsy, stroke, and multiple sclerosis.
Dr Ganesvaran first graduated in 1998 with his medical degree from the University of Melbourne, before completing his higher specialist training in neurology and geriatrics. Following this, he undertook a fellowship at Monash Medical Centre where he was able to gain expertise in movement disorders. He also spent a valuable period of time working at the Parkinson's Disease Centre of Excellence.
In addition to Neurology Network Melbourne, Dr Ganesvaran also works at Monash Health where he is a consultant as well as an undergraduate and postgraduate lecturer. He is actively involved in research and has a number of published clinical papers in highly regarded journals.
