About Dr Emanuela Manea
I am a Consultant Paediatrician with over 22 years of clinical experience caring for babies, children and adolescents across London. I trained in General Paediatrics and hold a fellowship in Paediatric Inherited Metabolic Disorders, completed at Evelina Children's Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. I have held Consultant posts at Royal Free Hospital and Chelsea & Westminster NHS Hospital, and have practised across a range of tertiary centres in the UK and Europe, developing expertise in neonatology, gastroenterology, neurology, haematology and metabolic disease. I founded Empaediatrics to offer consultant-led private paediatric care that feels personalised, calm, and consistent. My approach is to understand the whole child within the context of their family, rather than simply addressing a single symptom. Appointments are unhurried, and I take time to listen carefully, conduct a thorough assessment, and explain my findings in clear, accessible language. I see parents as partners in their child's care. Where reassurance is appropriate, I provide it with confidence. Where further investigation is needed, I guide families through every step and remain involved so that care feels coordinated rather than fragmented. I provide consultations for a wide range of concerns, from routine baby and child health checks to acute illness, including feeding and sleeping difficulties, recurrent infections, allergies, respiratory and ENT problems, gastrointestinal issues, renal concerns, growth and puberty, and behavioural and developmental worries. Online consultations are also available where clinically appropriate.
