About Dr John Davies
Dr John Davies is a cardiologist with a specialism in general cardiology and interventional cardiology. He currently works at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, Basildon Hospital as the lead for research and quality improvement. He also works at Mid Essex, Southend and Basildon (MSB) Hospital as the lead for the transformation of cardiology services. He also has the position of lead clinical for undergraduate cardiology at Southend university hospital.
Dr Davies completed his training at Guy's hospital, London and attained distinctions in clinical pharmacology and medicine in 1997. In 2000 he began Cardiology training and began specialist training in interventional coronary cardiology at St Bartholomew's, The London Chest and The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. In 2008 he completed his training and became a consultant cardiologist at Southend Hospital and The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.
Alongside his clinical experience and education, Dr Davies has received the award, honours in medicine and clinical pharmacology and therapeutics (Guy's Hospital Medical School, 1997). He has also conducted talks about stable angina, acute coronary syndrome, atrial fibrillation, heart failure and hypertension utilising his expertise and experience. He is also a member of The British Cardiovascular Society and a member of The British Cardiovascular Interventional Society.
