Dr Neil Srinivasan is a Consultant Cardiologist with extensive experience across all areas of cardiology, with particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders. In addition to electrophysiology, he is highly skilled in the assessment and treatment of chest pain, breathlessness, heart failure, and heart valve disease, delivering comprehensive, patient-centred cardiac care.
He completed his medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Leeds in 2006, having previously earned a BSc in Physiology in 2004, and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2009. His specialist cardiology training took place in leading centres in the UK and internationally, including The Heart Hospital in Marylebone and Barts Heart Centre in London. During this period, Dr Srinivasan was awarded the prestigious British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Fellowship, and his work in cardiac rhythm disorders led to the award of a PhD from University College London in 2018.
Dr Srinivasan remains actively involved in cardiovascular research, with numerous publications and invitations to speak at international conferences.
Within the NHS, he is the Lead for Electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre and is among the top five highest-volume procedural cardiologists in the UK.
