Dr. Dimitrios Fragkiskos is a dentist specialising in periodontics at Perfect Smile in Muswell Hill. He offers non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy and implant placement with and without the use of regenerative materials and techniques. He also has expertise in periodontal plastic surgery. He currently works at a number of referral-based practices in England, the Isle of Man, and Northern Ireland.
Dr Fragkiskos gained his dental degree from the National University of Greece in 2007 before going to undertake military service in the Greek army. Following this, he became a specialist in oral surgery and moved to the UK in 2009 to work as an associate dentist in Berkshire.
In 2010, he began training on a 3-year specialist course in periodontology and implant dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute and Hospital, UCL. Following his qualification, he gained his Masters in Clinical Dentistry and became a specialist in periodontics. His research work looked at systemic biomarkers and periodontitis, an innovative tool for diagnosing periodontal disease.
Dr Fragkiskos is a member of a number of professional societies, including the Greek and British Societies of Periodontology (BSP), the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), and the International Team of Implantology (ITI).
