Priv.-Doz. Dr. Christian Muschitz ist Facharzt für Innere Medizin und Rheumatologie und ist zusätzlich als Notarzt tätig. Im Jahr 2000 erfolgte seine Promotion zum Doktor der gesamten Heilkunde an der Universität Wien. Noch im selben Jahr begann seine Facharztausbildung für Radioonkologie an der Medizinischen Universität Wien, welche er im Jahr 2004 erfolgreich beendete. Direkt danach ging es für Dr. Muschitz als Assistenzarzt für Innere Medizin in Facharztausbildung mit Rotation in sämtliche Abteilungen des KH Barmherzige Schwestern Wien weiter. Im Jahr 2014 erhielt er durch die österreichische Ärztekammer die Berufsbezeichnung „Notarzt", sowie seinen Additivfacharzt für Rheumatologie.
Bereits seit seinem Studium hat er sich wissenschaftlich mit der Erkrankung Osteoporose beschäftigt. Er ist seit 2009 in der Funktion eines stationsführenden Oberarztes tätig und leitet die Osteoporose-Ambulanz im einzigen zertifizierten osteologischen Zentrum Österreichs. Neben seinen Tätigkeiten als Arzt hat er einen Lehrauftrag an der Medizinischen Universität Wien (MUW) im PhD-Programm „Musculoskeletal & Dental Research" sowie im Diplomstudium Humanmedizin. Dr. Muschitz hält Vorträge auf internationalen und nationalen Kongressen und ist seit mehr als 15 Jahren Teamleader im Forschungsteam Vinforce an seiner Klinik. Des Weiteren fungiert er auch Mitglied bei vielen nationalen, europäische und amerikanischen Fachgesellschaften
