Dr Alex Lee
Oncology
About
sarcoma and germ cell tumours at The Christie Hospital. He is a member of the
Greater Manchester and Oswestry Sarcoma Service and the Teenage & Young
Adult Oncology Unit at The Christie. He is also a member of the British Sarcoma
Group, Connective Tissue Oncology Society, NCRI Soft Tissue Sarcoma Clinical
Trials Subgroup and EORTC Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma, and Pathobiology
Groups. He is a Principal Investigator across a number of academic and
commercially-sponsored clinical drug trials for sarcomas.
Dr Lee’s undergraduate medical training was at University of Edinburgh, where he also undertook an
intercalated degree in Experimental Pathology. He undertook his general medical
training in Manchester and London, and his specialist oncology training at The
Royal Marsden. During his oncology training, Dr Lee performed a PhD study
within the Sarcoma Unit at The Marsden and the Molecular & Systems Oncology
Team at the Institute of Cancer Research. He joined The Christie as a
consultant in 2020.
