About

Mr Roy Farrell trained in Medicine at Trinity College Dublin, and he qualified in 1983. He completed his training in general surgery over the next five years in hospitals in Dublin before moving to Sheffield to train in Otolaryngology with a special interest in Head and Neck cancer. While in Sheffield he researched the role of viral infections in the aetiology of Head and Neck Cancer. Mr Farrell then took on the role as MAC chair at The Clementine Churchill Hospital and assisted in the Hospitals improvement programme where they achieved a CQC rating vastly improved on their previous position.

Mr Farrell then took up the CD role of the Head and Neck unit in January this year with pre Covid plans to push the boundaries of the unit and firmly establish its premier position in London.
