Mr Jain is one of the few surgeons in the UK that have a dual subspeciality interest in Cataract & Refractive Surgery as well as Medical Retina. His registrar training was undertaken in the North West of England and he has been a Consultant Opthamologist since 1995.
His experience means he has gained sufficient expertise in all areas ophthalmology and has gained further experience in the world renowned Gimble Eye Centre, Calgary, Canada. His experience means that he has dealt with a wide range of complex cataract cases.
Mr Jain has performed over 10,000 Laser Eye surgeries in the UK and Ireland and has Certification in Laser refractive Surgery from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. His subspeciality training means he is an expert in dealing with ophthalmic patients with medical conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. He is an advocate for use of ANTI-VEGF agents in the management of conditions such as Age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy and has performed over 3000 Intravitreal Injections.
