Mr Austin McCormick is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon at Spire Liverpool Hospital, Spire Murrayfield Hospital and Sefton Suite Diagnostic Centre. He also practices Consultant in the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust at Aintree University Hospital where he provides a regional oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital service. Mr McCormick is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool where he supervises medical students in research projects.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Sheffield in 1997, followed by his general ophthalmic surgical training at the same university and senior training in Merseyside. He later completed 2 one-year fellowships in oculoplastic surgical training, one in Manchester and the other in Auckland, New Zealand. He became registered by the General Medical Council as a specialist in ophthalmology in 2008. Mr McCormick is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society.
Mr McCormick has specialist expertise in cataract, oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery. He specialises in surgical and non-surgical oculofacial rejuvenation in addition to cosmetic eyelid surgery, lacrimal surgery for watery eyes, thyroid eye disease surgery, orbital surgery and oculoplastic surgery for ptosis, ectropion, entropion and eyelid skin cancer.

The whole procedure was such a positive experience. I had my upper and lower lids treated. Austin made me feel at ease.. It was not painful at all and the results were amazing. Although after the surgery I looked bruised it all healed so quickly and you could see the improvements daily. I would highly recommend Austin.
