Dr. Alecia Anderson is a clinical Psychologist with a wealth of experience in her field. Having worked in the treatment of mental health issues for over 15 years, she is able to adapt to the needs of every patient she sees, with a broad depth of knowledge as well as understanding and experience in how different patients may respond to different methods of Counselling Psychology interventions.
Dr. Anderson is trained in psychodynamic, humanistic and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and she treats a wide range of psychological complaints including low mood, low self esteem, psychosis, stress, alcoholism, sleep issues, personality disorders and many more. Having worked in a number of settings in her 15 years of practice, both private and NHS, Dr. Anderson has been able to treat a large number of patients from a wide array of backgrounds, giving her excellent insight into most psychological issues and the best methods to treat them.
Throughout her career, Dr. Anderson has always been active in her professional development, training in new methods of treatment on a regular basis. Most recently she completed the Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT) training facilitated by Professor Anthony Bateman at the Anna Freud Centre and she has over two years' experience facilitating both MBT individual and group therapy.
As a highly experienced trained professional, Dr. Anderson knows and understands the issues her patients face, and her non-judgemental and active approach to the individual needs of each of her patients allow her to give excellent outcomes.
