About

Professor Suzuki is Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Leicester and has also been Associate Dean of the College of Life Sciences (including Medicine). He is a Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and practices at Glenfield Hospital which is one of the UK’s main cardiac specialist hospitals where he leads a specialist service in aortic cardiology/medicine which was the first for the UK alongside his general cardiology practice. Professor Suzuki qualified then trained and progressed to senior/consultant roles at the University of Tokyo and Hospital (and currently holds a research professorship at the Institute of Medical Science) before relocating to the UK and retains board certification as a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology in Japan.
