About

TJ Giwa is an experienced Physiotherapist with close to three decades of clinical and leadership expertise in orthopaedic medicine, men’s health and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (1995) and a Master’s degree in Medical Physiology (1998) from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He further advanced his specialist knowledge with a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the National University of Ireland, Galway, in 2011.

TJ is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is CORU registered. He is a Certified Musculoskeletal Medicine Practitioner with extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing soft tissue injuries, and in performing advanced spinal and extremity manipulation through training with the Irish Society of Orthopaedic Medicine.

He is recognised as one of the few practitioners in Ireland with extensive specialist training in men’s health physiotherapy. His clinical focus includes chronic pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction and post-prostatectomy rehabilitation. TJ integrates advanced, evidence-based treatments, including focal shockwave therapy, offering non-invasive and effective solutions for persistent men’s health conditions.

In addition to men’s health and orthopaedic medicine, TJ has broad experience in stroke rehabilitation, post-operative orthopaedic recovery and trauma rehabilitation. His professional background spans both private and public healthcare sectors in the UK and Ireland. Alongside his clinical work, he is an experienced mentor and educator, supervising physiotherapy students nationally and internationally and supporting the development of high professional standards within the field.

TJ’s approach is centred on restoring function, improving quality of life and delivering measurable outcomes. By combining innovation, clinical precision and compassionate care, he ensures each patient receives personalised treatment designed to achieve lasting results.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”

— Tj Giwa
