About Mr Randeep Aujla

Mr Randeep Aujla is an Internationally fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in knee conditions and lower limb sporting injuries. NHS practice is based at the University Hospitals of Leicester, where he is Head of Trauma. Mr Aujla graduated from the University of Leicester Medical School and has a Masters degree from the University of Edinburgh. His UK training was based around the Midlands intertwined with being awarded a travelling fellowship to prestigious orthopaedic centres across six European countries. Following completion of his training he embarked upon knee and sports fellowships in Perth (Western Australia). He has worked Internationally as a Consultant in Australia and across the UK. Mr Aujla is very experienced at dealing with complex issues about the knee including ligament injuries, osteoarthritis, meniscal tears and knee cap instability to name a few. He also manages many soft tissues conditions around the elbow, ankle and hip, including performing hip arthroscopy. His academic portfolio demonstrates this with a broad range of skills and topics across his many publications and international presentations. Having worked within elite sport for over 12 years, Mr Aujla feels he intrinsically understands the athletes perspective to injury and symptoms. He is very rehabilitation focussed and works hard to maximise your function through many treatment modalities including liaising closely with physiotherapists.

"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."

— Mr Randeep Aujla, on practice philosophy
