In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Bowles has published over 40 manuscripts in peer review medical and surgical journals, and has presented his research at national and international academic meetings and conferences in across Europe, America and the Middle East.

Mr Bowles is the ENT Clinical Educational Lead at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust, overseeing the training and clinical development of the junior ENT surgical team. He is a member of the teaching faculty for the Masters Programme in Surgical Sciences at The Brighton & Sussex Medical School, and a faculty member on the annual International Brighton Endoscopic Orbital & Lacrimal Course.
