About

Mr Will Sarakbi is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital and Shirley Oaks BMI. He has a special interest in modern breast cancer surgery techniques and combing cancer treatment with cosmetic techniques. Mr Sarakbi provides individualised treatment plans for each patient and involves them as much as possible in making decisions about treatment.

Mr Sarakbi has a keen interest in cosmetic breast surgery. He completed the national cosmetic fellowship in 2013 where he had specific training in aesthetic breast surgery. He has performed over 500 breast augmentations, over 200 breast reductions and breast uplift procedures over the last 5years.

Mr Sarakbi completed his undergraduate training at St George's Medical School and his basic surgical training was in the South East of England. After completing a masters from the University of London, Mr Sarakbi undertook higher surgical training in London and in 2010 he was elected as President of the National Breast Trainees Association. In 2012, he was elected President of the Surgical Oncology Trainees Association.

Mr Sarakbi has an interest in research and he spent some time in full-time research looking into the role of molecular markers in breast cancer, and prognostic indicators of breast cancer. He has published over 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his findings on a national and international level. Mr Sarakbi is a member of the Intensity Modulated Partial Organ Radiotherapy Trial (IMPORT) trial management group, one of the largest radiotherapy trials in the UK funded by Cancer Research UK.
