About Mr Neal Jacobs
Mr Neal Jacobs is an international fellowship trained consultant orthopaedic surgeon with specialist expertise in Foot & Ankle surgery and Complex Limb Reconstruction. He is specialised in treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including bunions, arthritis, sports injuries, deformity and trauma. Mr Jacobs offers tailored treatment for his patients using various surgical techniques, including percutaneous minimally invasive foot surgery, bunion correction, ligament repairs and reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy (key hole surgery), joint fusions, complex deformity correction, ankle replacement, fracture fixation. He also undertakes complex limb reconstruction surgery including limb lengthening, treatment of adult bone deformity, management of problem fractures and bone infection. Mr Jacobs served a commission as a medical officer in the Royal Air Force, including operational experience as a trauma surgeon in Afghanistan. He retired from the RAF with the rank of Wing Commander in 2015. He has worked as a consultant in Salisbury since 2015, introducing a circular frame service and combined orthoplastic clinic for complex limb salvage cases. He has also introduced minimally invasive foot surgery techniques to Salisbury as well as Ankle replacement surgery. He is currently the Clinical lead of the trauma & orthopaedic department at Salisbury District Hospital. His private practice is undertaken at New Hall Hospital.
