About
Mr Rasul practices at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, where he serves as the clinical lead for spinal surgery and the education lead for neurosurgery. He also sees private patients at Three Shires Hospital, Spire Little Aston Hospital and Spire Parkway Hospital. Additionally, he is a board member of the West Midlands Regional Spinal Network.
Mr Rasul's academic journey began with an MBBS from University College London in 2008, followed by neurosurgical training at several centres of excellence in London. He was awarded his Fellowship in Neurosurgery by the Royal College of Surgeons, England, in 2019. To further hone his skills, he completed two complex spine fellowships. His additional qualifications include an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience from University College London (2012) and an MPhil in Clinical Neurosciences from the University of Cambridge (2016), where he was the top-ranked candidate and received funding from the Medical Research Council (MRC).
In 2020, Mr Rasul was one of only two UK-based neurosurgeons to receive the esteemed BASS Travelling Fellowship, highlighting his prominence in the field. His international reputation is further evidenced by invitations to teach spinal surgery in numerous countries and his extensive contributions to clinical research, which he has presented at multiple national and international conferences. He has also published numerous articles in internationally acclaimed journals.
Mr Rasul's combination of extensive training, leadership roles, and commitment to advancing the field of spinal surgery through education and research solidifies his status as a leading figure in neurosurgery and spinal surgery.
