Dr Sanjeev Bhattacharyy is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist and the Clinical Lead for echocardiography at St Bartholomew's Hospital and University College London Hospitals. He also sees private patients at Cleveland Clinic London.
Dr Bhattacharyya completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester in 2001. He was later awarded his MD(Res) for research into acquired heart valve disease. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the European Society of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.
His main subspecialty interests are heart failure, general cardiology, heart valve disease, and advanced echocardiography.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Bhattacharyya continues to continues to lead research in the area of heart valve disease and has published more than130 papers in international journals. He is a member of the guideline writing group for aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation and stress echocardiography for the British Society of Echocardiography. He has also chaired or been a member of several committees within the British Society of Echocardiography, Royal Society of Medicine and British Heart Valve Society.
