About
Dr Dian Andina Munawar is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist with specialist expertise in cardiac arrhythmias and Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs). She is recognised for her advanced training in cardiac electrophysiology, pacing, and interventional cardiology, alongside her strong academic and research background. She is currently part of the team at Northern Cardiology and Specialist Clinic.
Dr Munawar graduated from the University of Indonesia in 2006 before completing specialist cardiology training through the University of Indonesia and the National Cardiac Centre Harapan Kita in 2013. She subsequently undertook fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology in Indonesia in 2014 and was later recognised as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2020.
To further develop her subspecialist expertise, Dr Munawar completed advanced fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at Royal Adelaide Hospital between 2015 and 2018. Her clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and management of complex cardiac rhythm disorders, including arrhythmias and the implantation and management of cardiac pacing and defibrillator devices.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Munawar is actively involved in cardiovascular research and academia. She has published several peer-reviewed papers in leading international journals, including Heart Rhythm and Europace, and her research has been recognised internationally, including being featured at the 38th Heart Rhythm Annual Scientific Sessions in 2017.
Her academic achievements have also been recognised through multiple prestigious awards and grants, including educational and research funding from the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education Scholarship under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.
