About

Dr Scott Dunlop, a consultant general paediatrician, is the founder and director of Sydney Paediatrics. He specialises in the care of children, particularly overweight children and those with behavioural difficulties. As well as Sydney Paediatrics, Dr Dunlop consults at St George Hospital, St George Private Hospital, Sydney Children's Hospital, and Hurstville Private Hospital where he is the current head of the neonatology department.

Dr Dunlop is a father of four young children and understands the difficulties faced by parents. He is dedicated to guiding families throughout this time and helping them to navigate the healthcare needs of their children, whether that be managing complex care or reassuring parents that their child is well.

Dr Dunlop gained his MBBS in 1998 from the University of New South Wales and trained at Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick. In the final year of his training, he was appointed Chief Resident Medical Officer. Dr Dunlop writes extensively in the field of paediatrics and has both online and print publications. He also sits on the expert panel of the Mother and Baby Magazine and has previously been an expert panel member for Infant Formula companies.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
