Mr Ricky Lewis is an ADHD coach and qualified Mental Health Nurse with nearly 20 years of experience working within the NHS. He was diagnosed with combined type ADHD at the age of 42, shortly after his son received the same diagnosis in childhood. This personal experience informs his professional focus on ADHD in adults.
Mr Lewis has worked across a wide range of mental health services, including inpatient settings, Crisis Teams, Home Treatment services, Early Intervention in Psychosis, and community-based support. He has also worked with nursing and residential homes supporting people living with dementia and was most recently a manager of a Community Mental Health Team for older adults.
His clinical experience includes working with individuals affected by depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, substance misuse, and co-occurring mental health conditions alongside ADHD.
Mr Lewis is trained as a Level 1 ADHD Coach through ADHD Works and has completed the Simply ADHD and Personal Transformation modules with ADDCA. He is currently undertaking a Level 2 Autism Awareness course. His coaching work focuses on goal setting, identifying barriers, and supporting individuals to move forward through structured and realistic plans.
He also has an interest in mindfulness and is working towards further training in this area, with the intention of developing mindfulness-based support for individuals with ADHD and autism in the future.
