About Mr Ravi Pagoti
Mr. Ravikanth Pagoti is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust, specialising in the treatment of hip and knee arthritis. Based at Musgrave Park and Royal Victoria Hospitals, Mr. Pagoti has extensive experience in Lower Limb Arthroplasty.
He graduated in Medicine with distinction and two Gold Medal Honours from Andhra Medical College, India, and went on to earn a Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery from NTR University of Health Sciences. After relocating to the UK, he completed his basic surgical training in Nottingham and furthered his expertise in Trauma and Orthopaedics through Higher Surgical Training in Northern Ireland, where he attained the FRCS (T&O) qualification.
Mr. Pagoti has a particular interest in hip and knee surgery and completed two fellowships to enhance his skills. He trained under Prof. Beverland at Musgrave Park Hospital, Belfast, one of the UK's leading Arthroplasty units. He also pursued a fellowship in Hip Surgery under Prof. Middleton at Royal Bournemouth & Poole Hospitals, focusing on enhanced recovery pathways, robotic hip surgery, and cycling for hip pain. In recognition of his work, he was awarded an Honorary Visiting Fellowship with Bournemouth University and the ESSKA ALWIN JAGER Travelling Fellowship in 2018.
Mr. Pagoti treats a wide range of hip and knee conditions, performing primary and revision hip replacements, knee replacements, and knee arthroscopy. He is actively involved in research and has presented at national and international conferences. He co-authored a book chapter on Complex Total Knee Replacement and remains engaged in medical education, serving as an examiner for medical undergraduates at Queen’s University, Belfast.
