His research interests involve understanding how patient differences and choices impact their outcomes following joint replacement.
Professor Wilkinson has been involved in the publication of numerous book chapters and more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications on arthritis and its treatment. He is a sought-after speaker who has delivered invited lectures worldwide on subjects related to joint replacement and arthritis. He is also active in research focusing on the scientific understanding of the causes and development of arthritis, as well as the exploration of innovative treatments, including stem cell therapies.
