Psychotherapy
About
Dr. Madden acknowledges the profound impact of early-life interruptions and relationship experiences on our adult lives. He emphasises the importance of bringing these experiences into consciousness and understanding the protective strategies we have developed as a result.
Dr. Madden's educational background is diverse. He initially studied speech and drama at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh before training as a drama therapist. He further pursued his academic journey by obtaining an MA in psychotherapy from the University of East Anglia (UAE) and completing a PhD at Regents University in London. Throughout his career, he has co-authored books, including "Finding Sexual Realness," and has delivered lectures on topics such as sexuality, self-esteem, relationships, and depression.
As a psychotherapist, Dr. Owen Madden offers a range of therapies tailored to the needs of individuals and couples. His therapeutic approaches include humanistic therapies, behavioural therapy, person-centred therapy, existential therapy, integrative therapy, Jungian therapy, psychosexual therapy, and couples counselling. With his extensive expertise and compassionate guidance, Dr. Madden supports clients in their journey towards self-discovery, improved relationships, and overall well-being.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
