Mr Sunil Auplish is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. He has been practising as a Consultant for more than 15 years, providing expert care for a wide range of upper limb conditions including overuse injuries, sports-related problems, bone and tendon injuries, nerve compression, and arthritis. He also has a specialist interest in treating musicians whose performance is affected by arm or hand difficulties.
Mr Auplish completed his medical degree at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, University of London, in 1997. In 2006, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr&Orth), and in 2013 was awarded the prestigious European Diploma in Hand Surgery.
Appointed as a Consultant in Essex in 2009, he later joined York in 2017, where he continues to deliver advanced surgical care. His commitment to patients has been recognised with nominations for both Pride and STAR awards, honouring his outstanding dedication to patient care.
Mr Auplish is a member of several professional bodies, including the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the British Shoulder and Elbow Society.
