Mr Anthony Maury is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in hip and knee surgery. He has performed over 7000 operations and has specialist expertise in revision of failed hip and knee replacement and arthroscopic (key-hole) surgery.
After graduating in Medicine from the University of Sheffield, Mr Maury undertook his surgical training in the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. Following this he undertook specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in Cardiff and Oswestry, alongside a master's degree in Engineering at Cardiff University. After completing a fellowship in Hip and Knee replacement at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, in 2005 he was entered to the Specialist Register in Trauma and orthopaedic surgery. Following this, he was appointed Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon to York Hospital NHS Trust, which remains in NHS based.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Maury has an active interest in research and has had his work published in leading international journals. He has had an important role educating medical students at York Hospital and also has given also lectures and surgical demonstrations both nationally and internationally.
