About Mr Steven Hamilton
Dr Steven Hamilton was appointed as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Woodend Hospital in 2010. He regularly practices as one of the specialist knee surgeons in the NHS and is a Member of the Aberdeen Orthopaedic Network, seeing private patients at BMI Albyn Hospital. He specialises in all aspects of knee surgery including keyhole surgery for the treatment of cartilage tears and ligament ruptures, patella stabilisation procedures and surgery for arthritis. He performs standard, bespoke and MAKO robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacements. Dr Hamilton also undertakes orthopaedic trauma surgery, sees patients with sports injuries and performs forefoot surgery. The sports injuries he treats include ligament ruptures, tendinopathies, tendinitis and stress fractures, while foot conditions incude bunions, joint fusion and plantar fascilities. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy.
