Mr Matthew Wood is the lead of the Evolution Osteopathy clinic. He is originally from New Zealand and after moving to London in the late 1990s, he trained at the London School of Osteopathy. He is currently an examiner in Osteopathic Technique and Practice at the LSO. Having initially studied Performing Arts, Matthew has always been very interested in the motion and kinetics of the body and how human beings can adapt their body to different dynamics. He has also completed the DMA Clinical Pilates L1 and the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute L1 Courses and integrates this knowledge into his practice and exercise.
Currently based in Waterloo, Matthew works with a wide range of patients, from pregnant mothers to office workers and athletes. He has worked with the Southwark Lancers RFC and with performers from theatre and circus backgrounds
Matthew is very active and has run several marathons and shorter races, having a deep insight into how important it is to stay injury-free if you want to perform at peak level. He has a keen interest in Triathlon and its composite sports. Matthew is also actively developing his skills in aspects of circus training such as acrobatics and aerial flying trapeze as a passion of his. He was also involved in the 2012 Olympics in London and is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society.
