About Ms Julieann Gillett
Ms. Julieann Gillett is a highly qualified Osteopath based at Nordic Balance. Previously she was an Astrophysicist and actor/dancer, but found her passion and interest in physical therapies after the birth of her first nephew. Julieann went on to complete a Masters in Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy, followed by postgraduate in paediatrics at the Osteopathic Centre for Children, where Julieann is now a tutor and lecturer; a testament to her excellence. Julieann has also explored cranial osteopathy via the Sutherland Cranial College, visceral osteopathy with the Barral Institute, biodynamic osteopathy through the association of Traditional Osteopathic Studies and women's peri- and post-partum health via the Mummy MOT. Her experience across this wide range of areas gives her a broad scope of practice. Julieann's particular interest is in biomechanics, and she is dedicated to finding the root cause of any presenting condition. Although she treats patients of any age, her current focus is babies, children and women's health. Juileann also sees patients with tongue-tie, having worked closely with midwives and lactation consultants, and, in conjunction with the Key Clinic and Rhythmic Movement Training International, she is currently studying the role of movement in the re-integration of primitive reflexes for children with learning and behavioural difficulties.
