He has conducted numerous research projects and clinical audits, including the National Emergency Laparotomy Audit (NELA), of which he is the Surgical Lead. He is the Emergency Surgery Lead in the Trust and is involved with promoting several quality improvement projects to elevate the standards of the emergency surgical care.
