Mr Debashis Ghosh
About
Mr Ghosh is a very active member of the research community, he has previously pioneered a technique using a portable gamma camera for sentinel node biopsies. He is also involved in many high profile trials at the Royal Free Hospital and UCL Medical School including a trial examining the use of intraoperative radiotherapy, radioactive iodine and seed localisation. Most recently, he has been working on a clinical trial looking at the use of fluorescence in cancer surgery. Additionally, he is a co-author of a chapter within a textbook on breast and oncoplastic surgery titled "Kirk's Operative Surgery Kirk's".He was e was one of the pioneers for introducing wire free loaclisation and use of immunofluorscence in Breast Surgery . He also introduced LYMPHA a specialied procedure to prevent lymphoedema in axillary clearance .
The treatment plan of patients is discussed within a multi-disciplinary team of radiologists, oncologists, and pathologists to ensure the best treatment is offered.
